Many factors influence your risk of developing cancer, including age, gender and race. The following tool can provide you with a better understanding of your cancer risk, based on these factors, over the next 10 to 30 years.
This tool offers only a broad assessment based on data from the National Cancer Institute. It is a projection based on historical data and does not take into account many individual factors that may substantially increase or decrease a person's risk, such as smoking, personal or family medical history and other factors. The tool assumes the person is currently cancer-free. Questions about your personal risk factors for cancer should be discussed with your physician. Other * The National Cancer Institute currently breaks down its data for cancer risk into the following categories: "Black," "White" and "All Races." Choosing "Other" in the Cancer Assessment Tool provides a general assessment for all races. |
